Completing the Verification

The identity check is designed to be straightforward.

After starting the process from your HSA account, you'll be taken to Stripe's secure verification page. Depending on your location and the type of identification you're using, Stripe may ask you to photograph a government-issued identity document and take a quick selfie so it can compare the two.

If you're using a desktop computer, Stripe may ask you to continue on your mobile phone. That's simply because a phone camera usually provides the easiest and clearest way to capture the images needed for verification.

Most identity checks are completed within a few minutes, although occasionally they may take a little longer if additional review is required.

Protecting Your Privacy

Whenever identity documents are involved, privacy matters.
