Introduction
These Terms of Service govern your use of the House Sitting Australia website at https://housesittingaustralia.au and, where applicable, the HSA member platform at https://hsa.oze.au.
By using this website or registering for the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
About House Sitting Australia
House Sitting Australia is operated by Colin Dixon / OzOnLine. We provide information, community resources, and a platform to help homeowners and sitters connect. We are not an employer, agent, or broker for any member.
Use of this website
You agree to use this website lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
• Post false, misleading, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Use the site to harass, spam, or impersonate others
• Copy or republish site content without permission
Use of the HSA app
If you register at https://hsa.oze.au you also agree to:
User conduct
You agree to treat all properties, pets, and members with respect. Sitters must follow homeowner instructions and must not leave pets unattended for unreasonable periods.
Membership and payments
• Homeowners may list at no cost during promotional periods as displayed in the app
• Sitters may purchase membership (including founding member offers) as displayed at the time of signup
• Founding membership carries a 30-day money-back guarantee: email hsa@oze.au within 30 days of payment for a full refund of the membership fee if you are not satisfied
• The optional $10 identity verification fee is non-refundable, as it covers direct third-party costs
Removal of service
We reserve the right to suspend or remove any user who posts fraudulent listings, acts abusively, attempts to bypass platform security, or breaches community trust. No refunds will be provided for accounts removed for breach of these terms.
Dispute resolution
House Sitting Australia does not mediate disputes between sitters and homeowners. Conflicts regarding property conditions, pet care, or cancellations must be resolved directly between the parties involved.
Limitations of liability
House Sitting Australia is not responsible for property damage, loss, theft, injury, or pet illness that occurs during a sit. Users are advised to maintain adequate insurance cover. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Colin Dixon / OzOnLine limits liability arising from use of this website and the HSA platform.
